Since 2016, our non-profit organization has been unwavering in its mission to support homeless veterans by providing free meals and essential services. Each year, we ensure that around 200 veterans receive nutritious breakfast and lunch at our annual Stand Down event in Louisiana. This event not only nourishes these deserving individuals but also connects them with resources and services that facilitate their transition to permanent housing. Collaborating closely with the Veterans Administration and The National Coalition for the Homeless, we strive to address the root causes of homelessness and hunger among veterans. Our dedication to restoring hope, honor, and dignity to those who served our country remains at the heart of everything we do. We are looking to expand on this mission by traveling across this country to help provide all homeless veterans with meals and support.

Our ultimate goal is to establish the Veterans Village Community Project. As a 501(c)(3) organization, founded by dedicated citizens who wish to support the heroes who have sacrificed for our freedom, Louisiana Flavor Homeless Veterans Feeding and Nutrition Program aims to build The Veterans Village. This project aims to provide critical support through two main initiatives:

The Veteran Outreach Center: This walk-in center will serve as a comprehensive resource hub for all veterans, regardless of their time in service, discharge status, or any other qualifier. We will assist veterans in navigating the VA and accessing their benefits, provide identification services, offer mental and physical health referrals, and deliver financial counseling and employment support. Additionally, we will offer housing and education opportunities to help veterans achieve independence and self-sufficiency.
Veterans Village: This planned community of small cabins will offer homeless veterans privacy, security, and a comfortable reintegration pace, facilitating their transition to permanent housing. The onsite community center will provide mentoring, case management, counseling, and connections to other essential programs. Each one-bedroom cabin will be fully equipped with a bath, kitchen, living and dining area, and a back deck. The central building will host job training and community activities, and feature a public country store and restaurant. Veterans in training will work in a fully operational restaurant, auto shop, and provide HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry services to the public at low cost, gaining valuable skills and experience for their future careers.

By offering these comprehensive services and opportunities, we aim to restore dignity and independence to our veterans, supporting them on their path to a stable, self-sufficient life.
